Uniforms for those staffing an important helpline – and a brand-new service

We are all familiar with the 999 Emergency Call telephone service – but there are two other NHS services to enable us to access medical help when we need it.

‘Urgent but not life-threatening’ health services – online and telephone helpline

They are the 111 services – one of which is available online at https://111.nhs.uk/ and the other via the phone by dialling 111.

The online service has checklists to enable people to decide whether they need medical help and if so, how urgently and how they can get it. It covers advice on existing medical conditions and prescriptions, up-to-date information about COVID-19, mental health matters and dental concerns.

The free-to-call 111 telephone service is available 24/7 every day of the year and is designed for people with ‘urgent but not life-threatening’ health issues.

It helps them get the right advice and treatment when they urgently need it. Clinicians, such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and paramedics all now play an important role in the service – in fact, over 50% of people who call 111 speak to somebody in one of these roles.

And although callers are not able to see them, the staff do wear a uniform – with many of the items supplied by us at Stoke Embroidery Services.

Among them are logo-embroidered polo shirts and sweatshirts, Oxford work shirts, scrubs and jackets.

As business owner Phil Clarke explains: ‘The 111 service is divided into different geographical areas, and we have won the contract to supply Staffordshire.

‘We pride ourselves on the quality of our clothing (always at competitive prices) and I am really pleased that we can play a small part in supporting this vital service.’

 Personalising gifts and trophies

This kind of workwear is the company’s core business, but it is now extending its production of personalised products to the trophies and gifts market.

Cups and shields, figurines and etched glass awards, stylish tankards and much more can become a treasured possession with the addition of a winner’s name and the date of their achievement.  Or perhaps it will be a clock to mark years of long service or a well-earned retirement.  Many items can be personalised, and Stoke Embroidery Services can offer help and advice to achieve the effect that the customer is looking for.

The team can also help with printed items such as banners, signs and business cards. Call now on 01782 213377 to discuss your requirements.
